AUBURN N.Y. -- For almost 30 years, Auburn has celebrated Father's Day with classic cars by the lake.

The annual car show at Emerson Lake Park brought out hundreds Sunday to see some classic rides, but the day is about more than just looking -- it's also meant to help out the community.

All of the money raised from the show will be donated to food pantries around Auburn.

Ed Pinckney, president of the Prison City Ramblers Car Club says it's a great day to get the whole family together, however you define family.

"Its been our cruise car for 25 years now, and I think it's part of the family," Pinckney said of his restored Ford street rod. "Everybody wants to buy it, but I think all my grandchildren would be pretty mad if I sold it."

Last year, the show raised more than $7,000 for Auburn charities, and the Ramblers are hoping to raise even more than that this year.
