MENDON, N.Y. -- A 26-year-old Farmington woman died at the scene of a serious crash just before 8 a.m. Monday on Boughton Hill Road in Mendon.

Hannah Kline was heading east behind a pickup truck, which sheriff's deputies said turned left in front of an oncoming dump truck.

Deputies said the driver of the dump truck tried to stop, but hit Kline's vehicle.

The driver of the pickup, Louie Restivo, 47, of Henrietta was not injured. Restivo was initially charged with DWI, but deputies later stated Restivo was charged with vehicular manslaughter because he was convicted of DWAI in 2008. Restivo is also ticketed with failure to yield the right of way. Restivo was taken to the Monroe County jail, where bail was set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 property bond.

Deputies said the driver of the dump truck, Aaron Bassage, 48 of Macedon, was ticketed for "operating out of class, operating out of restrictions, and brakes out of service."

Neither Restivo or Bassage were injured.
