Eastridge earned their first win on the season against Brockport Friday Night as the Lancers topped the Blue Devils 25-14.

Eastridge started hot. The Lancers marched the ball down the field on their opening drive. Quarterback Gunner Lattimore capped it off with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Tony Arnold.

Brockport, on the other hand, struggled, with no first downs in the first half.

The Blue Devils also had a tough night on the injury front. Brockport's D-Line suffered another loss when senior lineman Nate Martin went down with a leg injury. The Blue Devils were already short senior Dom Polizzi, who went down in Week One against Greece Arcadia.

Eastridge's Jalen Rose Hannah was named Spectrum Sports Player of the Game, and deservedly so: the junior finished with two touchdowns on the night.

But the most impressive play from the junior came in the third quarter on 3rd and 20. Hannah saved the drive with a one handed catch, turning an errant throw into a 26-yard gain.

The Lancers looked dominant through most of this one, but struggled with penalties. Eastridge finished with 80-yards on their 12 accepted penalties.

"I think we're better than what we showed tonight, we hurt ourself a lot with undisciplined penalties," said head coach Jasson Jobson.

With a tough Week Three opponent in Canandaigua, that's one area the Lancers will need to clean up.

Brockport showed some promise in the second half. This time the offense relied on reciever Jose Solis for their big plays. The junior had both Brockport touchdowns and a 30-yard kick return on the night.

The Blue Devils host Brighton next Friday night. The Lancers stay home as well to host Canandaigua.
