As the White House pushes back on sexual misconduct allegations against President Donald Trump, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said she supports the three women whose accounts were aired Monday.

"President Donald Trump should resign," said Gillibrand, D-New York. "These allegations are credible, they are numerous. I heard these women's testimony and many of them are heartbreaking.

President Trump should resign his position. Whether he will ever hold himself accountable is something you can't hold your breath for."

Jessica Leeds, Samantha Holvey and Rachel Crooks said on NBC's "Megyn Kelly Today" that there should be congressional hearings, something Gillibrand voiced support for.

The White House has called the claims false and "totally disputed in most cases.'' Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says Trump "has addressed these accusations directly and denied all of these allegations.'' She says the people decided in November to elect him regardless.
