ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A local way to honor Susan B. Anthony at her grave site appears to be catching on around the country.
The Susan B. Anthony House says it's received post cards from Arkansas and Maryland with "I Voted" stickers attached.
This sparked an idea and now the house is asking people on social media to send stickers from all 50 states.
People started to attach the stickers on Anthony's gravestone after New York's Democratic presidential primary.
Hillary Clinton is the first woman nominated by a major political party to run for United States president.
"It's really powerful," Deborah L. Hughes, Susan B. Anthony House director. "It's very powerful that people are looking back to this woman in history. She knew she was the icon of the movement. She would have been the first to say, 'It's not just me. It's thousands of other women and men who worked to get us to a point where this is possible.'"
City of Rochester officials say it'll extend hours at Mt. Hope Cemetery, keeping it open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday for people to visit Anthony's grave.
