BERGEN N.Y. —  Parents need to know how to identify potential red flags indicating their teen is using drugs.

The Hidden Mischief program at Byron-Bergen High School, in conjunction with the Genesee Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, teaches parents to look for the clues hiding in plain sight.

During the freshman orientation, two bedrooms were staged with over 60 disguised items from Pringles cans to deodorant sticks.

Organizers say the program not only brings awareness but works as a preventative measure so parents can stop teen drug use in its tracks.
