ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Isaac McCrea will spend the next two to six years of his life in prison for the DWI crash that killed his six-month-old child.

His attorney, Robert Bahr, said "I think we all saw his arraignment initially the next morning and he was clearly distraught and I know from speaking with him that he's gonna suffer for the rest of his life."

McCrea pleaded guilty in June to vehicular manslaughter for the DWI crash last Halloween that killed his infant daughter.

It happened on route 104 in Webster when McCrea's vehicle crossed a service road and crashed into a tree with three of his children in the car.

The prosecutor called the sentence fair.

"I think the judge had a really good handle on the case and the surrounding circumstances and the sentence I believe is in line with his history or lack of history involving drinking and driving," prosecutor Raymond Benitez said.

He says this case serves as a reminder to the community about the dangers of getting behind the wheel of a car, drunk.

"If you decide to drink and drive and you hurt your kids or anyone else, you're gonna be held responsible, as long as the proof is there, which in this case it was," Benitez said.
