A Wayne County woman is accused of being drunk while driving a vehicle with a child inside.

State police pulled over 25-year-old Alissa Wheaton on Saturday while she was driving on Route 21 in Palmyra.

Troopers say Wheaton failed several field sobriety tests.

She later did a breath test at the barracks that state police say came back with a reading of .14 percent blood alcohol concentration (BAC).

Wheaton was arraigned in the Palmyra Town Court and released.

She is facing multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08 percent.

Wheaton is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court on March 20th.
