GREECE, N.Y. -- A former Greece woman who now lives in Florida is closely watching Irma's path.

Kriste Viele and her family moved to Palm Beach Gardens three years ago.

As Irma treks closer, Viele says one of their options is to start driving north, but it doesn't seem to be a popular one, yet.

"The majority of the people that I've been talking to are staying," Viele said. "You know, my kids, all their friends are staying. My neighbor, he left, he headed to Jacksonville last night and so right now it's just a waiting game because I'm watching the weather channel and it's heading in all different directions so I don't want to be driving and stuck on the road and not knowing."

Viele says the wait at gas stations right now is about a half hour and many stations have run out of gas.
