ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Rochester Red wings dished out some of the best the city has to offer on Thursday. The team played tribute to 100 years of Nick Tahou Hots and the original garbage plate.

The Rochester Red Wings became the Rochester Plates for the night, and the only thing selling faster than the plates themselves, was the merchandise. Red Wings GM Dan Mason says they will continue to have Plates gear available in the team store until they sell out.

The team also tweeted during the game that they plan to play as the plates every Thursday night during their 2018 season.
