Hailee Mitchell's second half goal stood up and Kendall earned the school's first NYS title, 1-0 over Fort Ann.

The Eagles won the semifinals and finals allowing no goals with a defense anchored by keeper Katie Pearson.

It's the Genesee Region school's first New York State title, coming with a team that features seven freshmen.

Mitchell, a junior, earned MVP honors scoring all three Eagles' goals in the semifinal and finals.

Coach Pam Barchet was a member of the last Kendall girls soccer team to make the State semis, played in Brighton in 2003.
