IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The New York State Liquor Authority has suspended an Irondequoit bar's license, saying it's a hot spot for fights and disorderly conduct.

The decision to take away the Thirsty Frog's license came after complaints the bar was a drain on Irondequoit police resources.

Police say last year alone there were 243 calls for service at the bar, 17 for disturbances, and 143 calls for special attention details, where police have cars outside the bar in anticipation of issues.

The SLA cites multiple examples of fights, and a stabbing since the beginning of last year.

The Thirsty Frog is charged with five violations.
