ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police are investigating two separate incidents that left two women with stab wounds.

The first involved a 29-year-old Rochester woman who police say showed up to Strong Memorial Hospital with a wound to the leg. Police learned she was stabbed on Jay Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday during a fight.

They say her injuries are minor and do not have anyone in custody.

Police say he left the scene, but was taken into custody on Lyell Avenue after trying to run away from police.

He is being charged with second degree assault.
