Freshman began moving into their dorms at St. John Fisher college on Saturday morning.

The class of 2022 is the third largest class in St. John Fisher's history, with 800 undergraduate members.

Students began moving in at 8:30 a.m., with parents helping and saying their good-byes.

For students, it's a new chapter.

"I feel like I’ve always seen people moving into college on movies, and now I’m like I’m moving into college," Freshman Nicole Conciardo said. "But it’s exciting."

But for parents, its bitter-sweet.

"I’m a bit anxious, sad, but I’m good," Father Lou Conciardo said. "We’re just trying to keep her positive. It’s not about her leaving, but a new beginning."

The day continues with orientation events scheduled until close to midnight.

Classes start on Tuesday.
