ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A family-owned Rochester business is making homemade, made-to-order meals for home and business delivery.

Chef Jason DeLeo started "Meals by DeLeo" in his catering kitchen on Bernard Street in Rochester because his own health was failing. He was morbidly obese, diabetic and had ongoing back problems.

He made some lifestyle changes and started losing weight. People noticed and asked if he could cook for them.

He expanded his catering business and now preps, cooks and delivers hundreds of individual homemade meals every week around Greater Rochester.

"We have fun with it. I have a passion for what I do. I have a passion for food and I love it," DeLeo said. "We are cooking like mom used to. Everything is from scratch and everything is homemade and healthy and we make it taste as good as we can."

There are several meals plan options available including a family-meal plan

Prices range between $8 and $10 per individual meal.
