BUFFALO, N.Y. — The father-son duo who conspired to bribe Buffalo police officers through their auto companies will spend time in federal prison.

James Mazzariello Jr., owner of Jim Mazz Auto and National Towing Incorporated, will spend 12 months in prison while his son Adam Mazzariello got six months.

The pair made payments to officers while attempting to gain business for towing, mechanical and collision repair work.

Jim Mazz Auto garnered a total revenue of over $43,000 after making just $500 in payments to officers between January 2009 and May 2012.

They're also convicted of filing false tax returns in 2009 and 2010.
