United States Marshals continued their search for a fugitive who fled from an accident.

41-year-old Deshawnte Waller was involved in a high-speed chase that ended in a crash along East Genesee Street in Syracuse Tuesday morning. After the crash, Waller fled from the scene.

 Detectives say he has a long list of convictions including rape, drug possession, weapons possession, assault, robbery and burglary.

According to the U.S. Marshals in a statement, dozens of tips have been received from the public, including interviews with individuals connected or associated to Waller. None of the leads given to U.S Marshals have led to an arrest.

Though U.S. Marshals believe he is still in the Syracuse area, there is a possibility that he may have left the area. There is a $1,000 reward for the information leading to Waller’s arrest.

The crash involving Waller took place along East Genesee Street in Syracuse Tuesday morning. After hitting another vehicle, the SUV burst into flames.

Fire and police were on the scene for more than an hour. U.S. Marshals searched the area but were not able to find Waller.

No one was seriously injured in the crash.
