After 56 years, Congress Beer has come back to Syracuse. 

The community celebrated its return Wednesday with a launch party at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown

Willow Rock Brewing partnered with the Onondaga Historical Association to update the recipe from the original brew.

For now, you can only buy Congress on draught or at Willow Rock Brewery, but restaurants and bars around Central New York are signing up. 

Those lucky enough to have enjoyed the original Congress beer say it's just like they remember.

"I can see no difference in the taste. I think it's about the same," Said Paul Minasian. "I'm glad it's back."

There will be another launch party open to the public at the Willow Rock Brewery Saturday afternoon.
