SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Chunks of ice piling up on the water's surface and upstream from bridge supports aren't easing flooding concerns along the Mohawk River.

Rain and warm temperatures are causing some of the ice to break up, and with the flooding level listed at 220 feet, officials are monitoring the river in Schenectady's Stockade District.

The governor activated 130 National Guard personnel to potentially help areas hit by flooding across the state.

Leaders are also reminding residents to have an evacuation plan in place just in case they're asked to leave. To register, please click this link.
