Flooding concerns remain high for several communities in the Capital Region, including Glenville and Schenectady's Stockade neighborhood.

Because of warmer temperatures, ice jam flooding could happen again. For residents living along the Mohawk River in Scotia, Glenville and the Stockade, local authorities are urging them to pay attention to river water levels. They also are reminding people to sign up for Schenectady's reverse 911 alert system.

"Anybody who has a landline that is listed currently is in the reverse 911 system," Glenville Supervisor Chris Koetzle said. "It's anyone who doesnt have a listed landline, cell phone or private unlisted number ... if they want to actively receive alerts, they need to sign up for the system."

"It's not only Schenectady, but you can go to Cohoes and going into the Hudson River, and we're just monitoring it and want people to be aware of the situation and people to act accordingly," said Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy.

Leaders are also reminding residents to have an evacuation plan in place just in case they're asked to leave. To register, please click this link.
