ALBANY, N.Y. — An Albany man charged with the fatal stabbing of Rashaun Byrd pleaded not guilty Monday.

Lahquann Grady, 21, faces second-degree murder and burglary charges for his alleged killing of Byrd on July 5.

Police say Grady broke into Byrd's Orange Street home and stabbed the victim to death.

Byrd already had an order of protection against Grady, who allegedly broke into his same home in June.

Grady remains in custody at Albany County Correctional Facility.
