The combined team from Frontier/Lake Shore/Orchard Park outlasted Kenmore/Grand Island, 3-2, to win the Section VI girls hockey championship.
The winners scored a pair of goals in the third period to break a 1-1 tie. Mary Kromer's tally proved to be the deciding goal. Jessica Peters and Abigail Lillis also found the net.
Kenmore Grand/Island's goals came from Olivia Smith and Hannah Gallivan. The loss ends their five-year run as champions.
Frontier/Lake Shore/Orchard Park advances to the state tournament.
