Rochester police say a local family is the victim of a homicide for the second time this year.

Investigators say a man found dead on Second Street is the father of a man shot and killed this past spring.

Officers say 41-year old Amos Harring, Sr. was found on Second between Central Park and Pennsylvania Avenue early Saturday morning.

There is no word yet on any suspects.

Investigators are also not talking about how Harring died.

Police say he is the father of Amos Harring, Jr.

The 23-year-old was killed in a shooting at a home on Skuse Street on June 9.

Darrell Davis, 26, is charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in Harring Jr.'s death.

Rochester police emphasize there does not appear to be any connection between the two homicides.
