BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The national faith-based ministry Eight Days of Hope has found a new home on Kensington Avenue in Buffalo.

"We want to display the love of God and be his hands and feet,” said missionary Bruce MacQueen.

MacQueen has traveled throughout the states with other missionaries doing just that, rebuilding spirits and homes along the way. Missionaries serve for eight days at a location and rebuild 800 homes.

So far, the nonprofit has restored 4,500 homes following 36 natural disasters.

Eight Days of Hope is also extending its free services to other nonprofits in Western New York. They are opening up their 20 offices to other nonprofit groups.

"We're going to give them some office space and warehouse space for free,” said founder Steve Tybor. “If they are expanding, we want to give them a discounted rate. We want this place to be an incubator for other ministries in Western New York."

A partnership has also been formed with PATH incorporated to build a shelter for victims of human trafficking. The home is expected to be open by the end of 2019

Eight Days of Hope is also gearing up for another unprecedented act of kindness.

"Every year in July for eight days, we're going to go somewhere in Western New York. We're going to help families paint their house, put roofing on their house, do some electrical work, take care of the landscaping. We're just going to love and serve some people in need,” added Tybor.
