HAMBURG, N.Y. — Hamburg police have identified the man killed in a kite surfing accident on Lake Erie.
They say 61-year-old Jeffrey Biehler died in the water near Hamburg Town Beach Wednesday.
An officer said he saw Biehler having trouble in the choppy waves.
Lifeguards on duty at the time were not able to reach him.
The Hamburg Police Department’s Water Rescue Unit recovered Beihler’s body a short time later.
