Andrew Masse, 11, who has been battling cancer for four years, was inducted into the Buffalo Police Department as an honorary police officer on Saturday.

"We're always looking for very dedicated, courageous, brave young men and women for the department and Andrew fit that bill," said Buffalo Police Deputy Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia.

Those who know Andrew describe him as a fighter with unlimited courage.

The induction was held at the 13th annual Louis J. Billittier Motorcycle Fun Run, where Andrew also got to be the road captain with Sabres legend Rene Robert and Sheriff Howard.

His father, Mark Masse, said the support is overwhelming.

"There's a lot of times where he doesn't want to do things. When we can find things that he really wants to do and enjoy, then we stop everything."

The Louis J. Billittier Foundation Motorcycle Run is just one way they raise money to help kids like Andrew.
