A 23-year-old man is dead after being hit head-on by an SUV in Niagara County.

Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputies say a 19-year-old woman was driving westbound on Saunders Settlement Road around 11 p.m. Monday when she crossed over the center line and hit an eastbound motorcycle.

Police identified the victim as Bradley S. Chawgo of Lockport.

Chawgo was thrown off the Honda motorcycle he was driving. The motorcycle was dragged 100 feet through a ditch under the SUV, dislodged and caught fire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

The Sheriff’s Department is reminder other drivers to be cautious as the weather gets warmer and more cyclists hit the road.

"Just look twice,” said Lt. David Warsocki. “It can't be stressed enough. It's all over the thruway signs. Look twice, save a life. That's all you gotta do. Be patient. You know they're out there. Look for the lights. Look left, look right, look left again. It can't be stressed enough."

The driver of the SUV is not facing charges at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
