NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A typical Wednesday morning for Twin Cities Meals on Wheels involves making food and avoiding craters.

The problem on Ridge Street in North Tonawanda began when the North Tonawanda School District started a construction project. Parts of the road are riddled with potholes.

The situation on the street is so bad, it's creating service gaps for Meals on Wheels and its 115 clients, as volunteers have to choose between making their rounds and damaging their vehicles.

The city can’t do anything because the road is owned by Sportsplex. The company and the school district are trying to sort out the easement between the two. The two entities have a meeting coming up to figure out who is responsible for what.
