Clarence and Hutch Tech did battle at Riverside High School Friday night.

In the third quarter, Red Devils up 13-6, on fourth down — Kris Massey runs into the pile at the goal line but keeps himself upright to back out and comes around the outside for the score. That cut Clarence's lead to 1.

Less than five minutes to go. After an interception, Red Devils looking to punch it in with Jacob Reger and he goes in, giving Clarence a 20-12 lead late.

But the Engineers fight back. With less than two minutes to go on fourth down, Massey hooks up with Curtland McCutcheon. He breaks a tackle and runs into the endzone for the touchdown.

Now it comes down to the two point conversion. Engineers looking to tie the game, Massey throws to Otis Houston who cannot make the catch. Dillon Tharp with good coverage there and the Red Devils hold on to win 20-18.

Clarence finishes the regular season 4-3. They're heading to the Class AA playoffs.
