A Pennsylvania man is dead following a crash in the town of Kirkwood.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office says 56-year-old Gasparo Mendicino of Moscow was unconscious and appeared to be having a medical emergency after crashing on Interstate 81 south around 6:30 Thursday night.

Mendicino was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The cause of death is still being determined.
