A truck driver was killed in a workplace accident in Conklin Friday.
It happened at the Maines Food and Paper Distribution Center shortly before 2 a.m.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of a parked tractor-trailer was run over when a tandem tractor-trailer rig pulled away from the loading dock.
They say the driver was in between the two trucks at the time, but it isn’t clear why he was there.
The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, but has not yet been identified.
Deputies say the rig driver is cooperating in the investigation, and that they believe it was accidental in nature.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
