HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- Police in Hillsborough helped rescue two dogs left out in the freezing cold Sunday night.

The officers heard barking coming from Gold Park and noticed the dogs locked in the dog park fence.

The owner of the dogs was later located and handled by the Hillsborough Police Department. Their identity is not being released to the public at this time.

 

 

The dogs were eventually picked up by Orange County Animal Services.
