OCRACOKE, N.C. -- The herd of wild horses that roams the Outer Banks and Beaufort, North Carolina, made it safely through the storm.

According to the Corolla Wild Horse fund herd manager, the horses found higher ground and grouped together to withstand the wind and rain.
