FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. -- The ex-boyfriend of a woman fatally shot in 2015 remains on trial for her death.

• Garry Yarborough is charged with shooting and killing Tracey Williams in Franklin County in July of 2015 
• Williams had a protective order against Yarborough at the time of her death
• The state is expected to present their evidence through Thursday

Garry Yarborough is charged with shooting and killing Tracey Williams in Franklin County in July of 2015. 

Williams had a protective order against Yarborough at the time of her death. 

Police say Williams shot Yarborough in the leg before he fatally shot her at an ATM located in a grocery store parking lot. 

On Tuesday a woman testified Yarborough drove to her home claiming he needed assistance because he had been shot. 

She says she feared for her life and testified he told her he had killed Tracey. 

The state is expected to present their evidence through Thursday.
