Of course, the forecast is a bit hot for Monday. It is the middle of July after all. Fortunately, extreme heat is not expected, but temperatures will be running near to just slightly above average in the afternoon. Highs should top out in the low 90s across most of central North Carolina. The humidity will make it feel like the mid to upper 90s.

We will see a mix of clouds and sun for most of the day Monday. There is just a slight chance for a few isolated showers and storms by early evening.

Tuesday afternoon and evening will bring a higher chance for showers and storms as a front moves into North Carolina. High temperatures will be near 90.

Very little chance for rain is forecast for the second half of this week when highs should be in the upper 80s. Shower and storm chances will return for the upcoming weekend.
