CARRBORO, N.C. -- No people were injured and authorities in Orange County continue to investigate a fire at a barn that also operated as a day care.     

The fire broke out Wednesday morning in Carrboro in the 200 block of Old Fayetteville Road.

Authorities say two goats and more than a dozen chickens were killed.

While there is no word yet on how the fire started, according to court documents, there has been a heated dispute between the director of the day care and the property owner.

The two were in court earlier this week.
