FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- A man is in critical condition after a shooting overnight.

The shooting happened just after midnight at the intersection of Cliffdale Road and Reilly Road.

Police say that a man was found with a gunshot wound inside of a car at the intersection.

The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley medical Center, and so far the name of the victim is being withheld until immediate family has been notified.

Officials are still investigating but say the incident does not appear to be random.
