After a nice weather weekend, we started the new week with some sun, clouds, and warm temperatures. This warm trend should continue into Tuesday.

A front will drop through parts of North Carolina during the rest of the night. This will give us a little more cloud cover with a few sprinkles possible. This front should lift back to the north as a warm front during the day on Tuesday. We can expect a little more sun by Tuesday afternoon with warm daytime highs.

A strong cold front will cross the state on Wednesday. This will set the stage for a developing chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms. There is a small chance that a few of these storms could be strong. We'll be watching the radar. High pressure will build in behind the front and control our weather for the end of the week.
