Milder afternoon temperatures are still on the way for the end of this week. We will not feel those milder temperatures for Wednesday though.

With a mix of clouds and sun, afternoon highs will only top out in the upper 40s around the Triangle and the low 50s in the Sandhills.

Low temperatures will drop to the upper 20s in much of the region late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

The next couple of days will be breezy at times. Wind gusts up to 20 or 25mph are expected Wednesday afternoon making it feel even cooler. Gusts up to 30mph will be possible Thursday.

A warm up will begin Thursday afternoon that will bring high temperatures back close to 60. The 60s are also forecast for Friday.
