GARNER, N.C. --  The man struck and killed in Wake County Friday morning has been identified.

The State Highway Patrol says Nathan Eugene Watson, 31, of Raleigh, was crossing U.S. Highway 401 near Anaron Court when he was struck by a red 2004 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Chance Michael Podasky, 33, of Garner.

Investigators say it appears Watson was in the center turn lane when he was struck.

No charges have been filed against Podasky at this time.
