Cooler weather has settled in for the weekend. The gusty northwest winds that delivered the cold dry air across the region Saturday have diminished, but still can put a chill in the air.

Ample sunshine in the forecast through Monday with afternoon highs warming from the 30s Sunday into 40s for Monday. Warmer for Tuesday in advance of the next weather-maker coming our way. This next system has the potential to bring some wintry weather across the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. As of now it looks like snow will develop across central section late Tuesday night with the snow continuing into Wednesday. Models still show a wide range in the amount expected, but most everybody will see some snow with this system.

Chilly for Thursday then we’ll see a significant warm up as we head towards next weekend.
