Tuesday afternoon shouldn't be quite as cool as Monday when highs only topped out in the 50s.   Afternoon temperatures are forecast to warm to the low 60s in the Triangle and the mid 60s in the Sandhills Tuesday.

Look for increasing cloudiness through the day as a weak area of low pressure forms near Florida and moves up the southeast coast.  The low will bring the chance for a few showers in central North Carolina Tuesday night.  The greatest chance for rain will come near the Carolina coast overnight.

Any showers from Tuesday night should come to an end by around sunrise Wednesday.  Much of Wednesday will be mostly sunny with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to near 50 early in the morning to the mid 60s in the afternoon.

Thanksgiving should be partly sunny and cooler with central North Carolina stuck in the 40s for most of the day.   Highs will only warm to around 50 by 3pm Thursday afternoon in the Triangle.  The Sandhills should see highs in the low 50s.

We will have to keep an eye on another area of low pressure that may build up the southeast coast Thanksgiving Day.  There are some computer models that bring rain from that low inland over parts of eastern North Carolina while other models keep the rain offshore.  For now, we'll only forecast a slight chance for a shower near the coast Thursday.
