PRINCEVILLE, N.C. – The community gets help rebuilding homes in the area one year after Hurricane Matthew.
Islamic Relief USA and the United Methodist Conference help repair and restore homes damaged by the storm.
“Innately, we’re all good human beings and this work shows we can all work together to help get people back in their homes,” says Islamic Relief USA’s Maryam Ahmed.
Flooding from Matthew caused more than $1.5 billion in damages.
The two groups will be in Princeville through October 28, and plan to return to assist with restorations in November.
