CHARLOTTE – Authorities from the FBI are looking to piece together information after  a teen was found dead behind a church in West Charlotte.

Ashanti Billie, 19, was reported missing in Norfolk, Virginia on September 18 and was located days later by a groundskeeper in North Carolina.

Officials ask that anyone who may have seen Billie and/or her Mini Cooper in the Charlotte area between Monday, September 18 and Saturday, September 23 to contact the FBI Norfolk Field Office at 757-455-0100.  

They say the car may have been spotted in several locations including Griers Grove Road and/or along the following routes:

Route 17, to I-64 through Rocky Mount and Raleigh to Charlotte

Route 58 to I-85 through Durham and Greensboro to Charlotte

Route 58 to I-95 through Raleigh to I-85 to Charlotte.

Anyone who may have private or commercial surveillance video that could have captured her during the time frame would also be useful for them in the investigation.
