RALEIGH – Hundreds of protesters marched downtown to show support for DACA recipients Sunday.

Two NC State students organized the rally from Nash Square to the Halifax Mall.

Many immigrants, like Rosa Andrade-Vega, said their lives would be at stake if they ended up deported.

“My mom lives in Mexico and worst case scenario is I would have to go back, but I'm more worried about my kids now,” Andrade-Vega said. “They were born here. All four of them were born in Raleigh and this is their home. I'm more worried about them versus me.”

The march also featured non-profit immigrant rights groups and immigration lawyers.
