EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. -- The State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly car wreck that killed one person in Edgecombe County on Wednesday.
It happened on McKendree Church Road.
Troopers say a sheriff’s office pick-up truck was towing an impounded car when the car came loose from the tow and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet traveling in the opposite direction.
The passenger in the Chevrolet died. The driver was sent to a nearby hospital.
There's no word on charges at this time.
