Mild southwesterly winds will persist across the Carolinas tonight and for most of Monday. That means above-average temps are expected to continue to kick off the workweek. So, look for afternoon highs to reach about 65-70 with even warmer temperatures to our south and east.

A strong cold front will sweep across the region early Tuesday. As a result, much colder air will begin to build southward across the region. At this point, temps will start a downward slide with highs struggling to reach the middle 40s on Wednesday and Thursday.  Now, dry weather is anticipated for the rest of the week. That said, our next storm system will arrive next weekend. A chilly rain seems most likely at this point, but a wintry mix cannot be ruled out at this point. We'll keep you posted!
