GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wednesday will be cloudy and chilly, with rain moving in at night through Thursday. 

It'll be Mainly dry through the morning and afternoon, then showers move in from the south later today through tonight. The wind will also begin to pick up tonight, out of the northeast 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25. In addition to rain, Thursday will also be a bit windy. 

 

 

As temperatures drop to the 30s, brief freezing rain could be possible early Thursday morning, especially in Wilkes, Surry, Stokes counties . Accumulation is not expected. 
 
 
The rain begins to move out Thursday night, with drier air returning on Friday. Highs on Friday will still be below normal, into the low 50s. The weekend looks to be nice, but still a bit on the cool side. Highs on Saturday in the upper 50s, under a mostly sunny sky. A few more clouds on Sunday with highs in the mid 50s.
