No complaints in the weather department for our Wednesday! And, with good reason thanks to sunshine and highs in the 70s. However, change is on the way starting tonight. In fact, clouds will quickly increase late this evening, and a few light rain showers are expected to arrive by sunrise. Most showers will likely stay along and south of I-40. Otherwise, look for cooler and cloudy weather for Thursday.

Rain showers will increase in coverage on Friday as most of the day will feature on and off showers. A cold front will sweep across the region by Friday night, and as a result, drier and colder air is set to arrive for the weekend. So, look for the coldest weather of the season to settle in on Saturday night as lows bottom out in the upper 20s for many locations. Furthermore, an unseasonably cold pattern seems likely to extend into a large portion of next week.
