ASHEBORO, N.C. -- Students in the Triad joined tens of thousands of others around the world today for International Walk to School Day.

Kids from every grade at Donna Lee Loflin Elementary School participated, along with parents, school staff, and members of the Safe Kids Coalition.

Wednesday morning's event was one of more than 5,000 planned events across the country and the United States is one of more than 40 countries participating.
